Quezon prov'l gov't to establish satellite offices in 1st, 3rd & 4th district

by R. Orinday

Lucena City (6 February) -- The Provincial Government of Quezon will establish satellite offices in the first, third and fourth district of Quezon in order to have a direct link with the provincial capitol located in the second district of the province.

The first district satellite office will be located in Infanta, Quezon; in the third district, it will be established in the Progressive Action for Rural Development (PaRuDev.) Catanauan while in the fourth district, it will be at the site of the Southern Luzon State University (SLSU) in Gumaca, Quezon.

Each satellite office will be manned by a composite team of personnel from the provincial departments of agriculture, tourism, economic enterprise and engineering.

Meanwhile, Quezon Gov. Raffy Nantes has announced that the P1.9 billion Infanta-Marikina road is expected to be finished this year (2009). Next to be completed, according to him is the Atimonan-Mauban-Real road.

"The college of medicine of SLSU will be opened this coming June 2009 at the Quezon Medical Center in this city where poor but deserving RPN scholars will be given a chance to take up medical courses for free or at very reasonable cost.

In the past one and half years, Gov. Nantes has made possible the construction of 330 school rooms in Quezon province. (PIA-Quezon) [top]
