Tacloban City (February 10) -- The Bureau of Internal Revenue Eastern Visayas through Regional Director Araceli L. Francisco informed that the now highly popular and widely patronized Premyo sa Resibo Raffle is still ongoing.

Thus, Director Francisco exhorted the general public to consistently participate in the text raffle promo which is being spearheaded by PhilWeb in coordination with the BIR.

Joining the PSR raffle by texting the details of official receipts will maximize the chances of becoming an instant millionaire, aside from helping the BIR discover tax violations that will significantly bolster the Bureau's revenue collection efforts, Director Francisco said.

The PSR raffle has a daily draw wherein two lucky texters will win P5,000.each; a weekly draw held every Friday wherein two lucky texters will each win P25,000.; and a bi-weekly draw, held every two weeks starting January 16, 2009, where the lucky participant will win P1 Million.

In order to be used for PSR, a receipt issued for the payment of services rendered or goods sold must contain information such as business name and address; Taxpayer Identification Number; and name of printer, BIR Permit Number with inclusive serial numbe of booklets and date of issuance of receipts.

This term shall likewise include machine-validated utility bills or statements of account that bear the above information. It does not however include credit card statements of account or similar documents.
