DTI Pangasinan enforces 50% reduction in business name registration fee

By Venus Hortaleza-Sarmiento

Dagupan City (11 February) -- The Department of Trade and Industry in the province now offers 50% discount on payment for business name registration until the first half of this year.

Trade and Industry Specialist Marjorie Loresco said the fee which used to be P300 is reduced to P165 effective January 19.

In an interview at the 'Pantongtongan Tayo' radio program sponsored by the Philippine Information Agency over DZMQ Radyo ng Bayan- Dagupan, Loresco bared that the discount is a form of incentive to the business owners. The Business Division, she said, averages more than 30 applications everyday.

Loresco asked the public to bear with her office since they are currently updating their systems. An offline in their systems result in the re-scheduling of the release of the processed papers.

She further explained that once all their systems are installed, business owners can register through the web.

DTI will also send them the processed papers through Internet. Everything will soon be a click away, Loresco said

DTI is also currently undertaking a mobile business name registration in far- flung areas. She commended the municipality of Agno for cooperating with them.

(PIA-Pangasinan) [top]
