Negros Gov distributes Philhealth cards
Negros Occidental (13 February) -- Gov. Isidro Zayco led the distribution of the PhilHealth ID cards to 1,239 indigent beneficiaries in Kabankalan City, 737 in Candoni town and 30 in Ilog, at Kabankalan City recently.
Zayco announced that the provincial government allocated P10 million for the health program and is closely working with PhilHealth to provide them with a better health care and insurance program.
More than 2,000 identified indigents from the eleven barangays of Kabankalan City and 1,400 from the seven barangays of Candoni are also being subsidized by the provincial government, while 8,000 additional beneficiaries will be sponsored by the Kabankalan local government.
PhilHealth's Assistant Vice President for Region VI Alberto Manduriao also expressed his gratitude to Gov. Isidro Zayco and the provincial government for the trust and the opportunity given to them to be of service to all Negrenses. (PIA/cad) [top]
