CSC exam applications deadline set Monday

by Rey Anthony Chiu

Tagbilaran City (13 February) -- Professional and sub professional test applicants for the government's career service has only until Monday to file their applications and get to the list of examinees.

This as the Civil Service Commission's (CSC) government service accreditation examination slated March 29, 2009 pegs the deadline for applications filing this February 16.

For Bohol applicants who could beat the deadlines, the examination would be held in Cebu City.

This would be done a little more than a month from now, says a communication from CSC provincial Head Nissi Cherith Asis.

CSC Bohol information officer Liezl del Rosario said applicants must submit with the application forms, 4 pieces of passport sized identification pictures taken while subject carries a nametag, she said in a telephone interview.

She however reminded that CSC does not accept pictures that are computer enhanced and made out of facsimile prints or photocopy images.

Moreover, applicants now are given the option to take the sub-professional or professional service examinations regardless of accumulated scholastic units in college.

"As long as they are 18 years old and above, they can go for whichever is convenient for them," she intoned.

According to her, the CSC has also waived the documentary stamp, which was a requirement in the past.

The Bohol field office would be open to accept the filed applications until 5:00 Monday, she said. (PIA) [top]
