QC Red Cross to hold Interfaith Prayer Rally for abducted colleagues
Quezon City (25 February) -- The Quezon City Red Cross will be holding an inter-faith prayer rally at the QC Hall Plaza at 5:00 this afternoon for their colleagues held hostage in Sulu by suspected Abu Sayyaf bandits.
Mary-Jean Lacaba, Eugenio Vagni and Andreas Notter were kidnapped on their way to the airport January 15 after visiting a prison in Patikul Town.
Since then, Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) chapters nationwide are holding daily prayer meetings or vigils, Eucharistic celebrations, interfaith rallies and sala among Muslim communities for the immediate and safe release of their colleagues.
PNRC has been appealing to government to exhaust all peaceful and diplomatic means to bring about the workers' safe release.
The Red Cross interfaith prayer rally will be held at 5 pm at the Quezon City Hall Plaza. (PIA) [top]
