Mining firm to conduct public scoping in Nueva Vizcaya
Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (26 February) -- A mining firm here will be conducting a public scoping for the Runruno gold and molybdenum project.
Jess Bayrante, Maunsell Philippines Inc. associate director for the environment said the public scoping will be held on March 4, 2009 at the Governor's Garden Hotel in Solano town.
He said the site scoping is part of the Environmental Impact Assessment Study(EIA) for the project.
"This will allow interested parties to make their concerns known and determine the range of actions, alternatives and impacts that will be examined in the course of the EIA," Bayrante said.
During the scoping program, FCF Minerals Corporation will give a briefing on the proposed gold and molybdenum project in barangay Runruno, Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya which will be followed by an open forum and synthesis and integration of issues and agreements.
Bayrante said the scoping activity will be attended by municipal and barangay officials, key government agency representatives, non-government organizations and members of the media. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
