PHILJAFA general assembly set

Roxas City (26 February) -- The Philippines–Japan Fellows Association (PHILJAFA) will hold its 42nd annual general assembly on February 28 at the Technological University of the Philippines' (TUP) Integrated Research and Training Center Social Hall in Ermita, Manila.
PHILJAFA is an association of former scholars who have graduated/trained in Japan under the auspices of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), said a Civil Service Commission (CSC) website announcement.
"The objective of this gathering is to convene and renew their (PHILJAFA scholars) commitment to the association as an instrument in promoting a better relationship with the Japanese government through technical, scientific, cultural and human resource development programs," the CSC portal announcement said.
All the PHILJAFA members are enjoined to actively participate to ensure the success of the half-day activity.
The theme of the gathering is "Establishing Link with the Community: A New Opportunity to Unravel Human Security" which will be highlighted with lectures in various areas focusing on human security amidst the current crisis. (CSC/PIA) [top]
