Tagalog News: Korean firms maglalagak ng $500-million sa agricultural projects sa Pilipinas

Manila (1 June) -- Tatlong South Korean firms ang nangakong mamuhunan ng mahigit $500-million sa mga agricultural projects sa Pilipinas.

Saksi ang Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo at si Korean President Lee Myung-Bak sa paglagda ng Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) sa mga proposed projects na ginanap sa Lotte Hotel.

Ang Korean international Cooperation Agency (KOICA) ay nangakong magpapalabas ng pondo na nagkakahalaga ng $12.97 million para sa pagpapatayo ng apat na modern rice processing facilities sa Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan; Pototan; Iloilo; Pilar, Bohol at Matanay, Davao del Sur.

Dagdag pa ni Yap ang KOICA ay nangakong magpapalabas ng $14.9 million o P700 million para sa pagpapalawak ng Molina Dam sa Bohol.

Nakipagpulong din ang Pangulong Arroyo kasama ang representative ng Korean firms Eco Solution Co. Ltd at EnviroPlasma Ltd. na nangakong mamuhunan ng $475 million sa alternative fuel projects sa bansa. (KAlbay/PIA 12) [top]
