836 patients get medical treatment
Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (4 June) -- At least 836 indigent patients recently received medical assistance from health workers in the province during a medical and dental mission conducted last May 21.
Dr. Edwin Galapon, provincial health officer in-charge and chief of the provincial hospital said the total 836 clients came from the 520 and 316 patients treated through medical and dental services respectively.
The medical and dental mission was sponsored by the provincial government through the provincial health office, municipal health officers, dental workers, hospital workers and rural health workers in line with the 1st grand 'Ammungan' festival highlighting the 170th founding anniversary of the province.
Galapon said the illnesses treated were upper respiratory infection, hypertension, headache and simple cough among others.
He added that the medical and dental mission also served 218 patients who were circumcised and 150 patients given medical assistance on ear, eyes, nose and throat illnesses. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
