Oro emergency assistance center responds to 700 calls
Cagayan de Oro City (4 June) -- The Cagayan de Oro Emergency Assistance and Communication Center (COMCENTER) has responded to a total of 700 calls for assistance for the last three months.
Ric Pabayo, COMCENTER Manager disclosed in his monthly accomplishment report (March-May) to City Mayor Constantino G. Jaraula that COMCENTER responded to calls for assistance on two murder/homicide/dead body cases; eight on shooting incidents; 189 on traffic accidents; 18 on robbery/theft/snatching/vices; seven on stabbing/hacking; two on drugs; 10 on fire alarm; three on physical injury; two on rescue/drowning: 15 on carnapping; three on kidnapping/missing; one on domestic violence and 1 on public utility trouble.
Pabayo said that the COMCENTER also responded 87 cases on nuisance/public disturbance/intoxication; 146 on bank/pawnshop alarms and 208 other assistance during the period.
The COMCENTER is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to accept calls from the public who need emergency assistance. It can be reached through landline number 166 and 14500 mhz for VHF radio. (CIO) [top]
