PNP Caraga reports carnapping incident

Butuan City (5 June) -- On June 3, 2009 around 11:00 in the morning, a certain Custodio Dalisay, 20 years old, single, a native of Purok-13 Mesaoy, New Corella, Davao Oriental reported to Butuan City Police Sation-1 (BCPS-1) that his Honda Wave 1OOR motorcycle was forcibly taken from him by suspects identified as: 1) Reynante Casas of legal age, single, a resident of Emenville Subdivision, Barangay Ambago, Butuan City, 2) Jeomal Capote of legal age, single, and 3) a certain "Naby" both native of Dasing, Mesaoy, New Corella, Davao Oriental.
Victim sustained stab wounds on the different parts of his body as the suspects tried to kill him.
Elements of BCPS 1 are now conducting follow-up operation for the possible arrest of the suspects.
Arrest of illegal gambling suspect
On June 3, 2009 at 5:45 in the afternoon at Montilla Boulevard, Butuan City, a team from 14th RMG led by PINSP Archie V Amores in coordination with Butuan City Police Office conducted operation against illegal gambling which resulted to the confiscation of two unit video karera "kulalong" machines and one unit fruit game machine.
The team proceeded to Montilla Street and confiscated one unit fruit game machine and one unit video karera "Kulalong" machine.
No person appeared and asserted as owner of said machine. Said machines were brought to 14th RMG Headquarters, Camp Rodriguez, Libertad, Butuan City for proper disposition.
Report on traffic accident
On June 2, 2009 at 7:00 in the evening at the National Highwayin Barangay San Pablo, Tubod, Surigao del Norte, a certain Randy Ocho, 19 years old, single, jobless and resident of Barangay Del Rosario, Tubod, Surigao del Norte was accidentally bumped by an Isuzu elf, color white with plate Number ZHS 219 and registered in the name of Phil Association for Intercultural Development Inc located at 71 Malakas Street, Quezon City.
Victim sustained injuries on the different parts of his body and immediately brought to Surigao City Meical Center for medical treatment. However, victim pronounced dead at around 4:00 in the morning of June 3, 2009 by the attending physician.
Driver involved identified as one Rey Lara, of legal age, married and resident of Alviola Village, Butuan City now under the custody of Tubod Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
PNP arrests wanted persons
On June 2, 2009 at 2:00 in the afternoon at Barangay San Pedro, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur, PNP elements of Prosperidad Municipal Police Station led by SPO2 Cristito De Castro apprehended the suspect identified as Alpiniano D Boniel, 49 years old, married and resident of said place by virtue of warrant of arrest (WOA) issued by Hon Judge Lou A Nueva of MCTC, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur for the crime of concubinage docketed under CC number 09-3252 and with fixed bailbond amounting to Php 10,000.00.
Subject person now detained at Prosperidad Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Also, at 6:15 in the evening of the same date at Barangay Cawilan, Tubod, Surigao del Norte, a certain Clara Antillo, of legal age and resident of said place was arrested by PNP elements of Tubod Municipal Police Station led by PINSP Ryan B Sabordo by virtue of WOA issued by Hon Judge Victor A Canoy of RTC Branch 29 and 30, Surigao City for violation of section 5 and 11 of RA 9482 (Anti-rabies act of 2007) docketed under CC number 8245 and 8297 with recommended bailbond amounting to Php 26,000.00 and Php 31,000.00 respectively.
Arrested person was brought to Tubod Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Report on shooting incident
On June 2, 2009 around 12:45 after midnight, a man was found lying on a small pathway of Purok-5 Barangay Ong Yiu, Butuan Cit.
Victim was later identified as Rolando Valdez aka "Rocky" Valdez. He was shot by an unidentified assailant several times on the different part of his body causing his untimely death.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team were able to recover seven pieces empty shell and one live ammo of a caliber.45 pistol, a black wallet containing important documents, wrist watch, and a silver chain from the crime scene.
Initial investigation conducted by BCPS 2-A led by SPO4 Rodolfo Ledesma revealed that the victim is a former PNP member and the motive of the incident is yet to be established. Cadaver was brought to Raniel Funeral Homes for autopsy. (PNP-13/PIA-Caraga) [top]
