Oro free sports clinic on
Cagayan de Oro City (8 June) -- The Cagayan de Oro City City Sports Development Program, chaired by City Mayor Constantino "Tinnex" G. Jaraula, is urging schoolchildren and out-of-school youth in Cagayan de Oro City to participate in the regular weekend free sports clinic that covers 10 sports discipline.
The city government's free sports training program is open to all 7 to 16 years old schoolchildren, students and out-of-school youth, including children of City Hall employees, according to City Sports Executive Director Engr. Isidro Borja, adding that the free registration is being held at every training venues.
The free sports clinic is held every Saturday and Sunday only, with the following schedule at three different venues:
City Central School Covered Court : 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. (Taekwondo), 10;00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (Badminton), 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Boxing) and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Karatedo and Arnis); City Hall Compound: whole morning (Basketball and Chess), 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Sepak Takraw) and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Volleyball men and women); 2nd Floor Carmen Market: morning and afternoon (Table Tennis).
The free sports clinic is part of the City Sports Development Program's year-round sports training program to train and develop potential homegrown athletes and players who can represent the city in local, regional and national competitions. (City Information Office) [top]
