Police pursues manhunt operations vs Sinsuat killers
Koronadal City (9 June) -- Police operative are closing in on a suspected mastermind who is believed to be behind the brutal killing of Bai Aleta Sinsuat last Saturday, June 6.
Local authorities that there was more than robbery-holdup in the killing of Sinsuat following the arrest of suspects Michael Usi alias Patok, Nando alias Eric and a certain Ali in the pursuit operations.
City Police Director Senior Supt. Willie Dangane said he has created Task Force Aleta to spearhead in following up to resolve the case but refused to identify the suspect subject of the hot pursuit operations.
Sinsuat, an active official of the local Red Cross and younger sister of Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) local chapter chairperson Bai Fatima Sinsuat, was shot and killed by unidentified armed men at about 1:00PM at the Mega Market, Cotabato City.
Based on initial police reports, the victims fought back and refused to hand her bag when the suspects declared hold-up prompting the armed men to shot her.
Bai Fatima Sinsuat said she does not believe the killing of her sister was a case of plain robbery-holdup but rather it could be work-related.
"Pero ako, I know something that I'm not saying. I'd close my mouth until finally I'd say that, because whatever has happened here, I've told this to some six people close to me," she said.
Bai Fatima said, she would closely coordinate with concerned government agencies in a bid to seek justice foe her sister and put the perpetrators behind bars.
Meanwhile, Cotabato City Mayor Muslim Sema, who was among the first to arrive at the crime scene vowed to track down the assassins not only this particulars case but all other unsolved crimes in the city. (pbc/PIA 12) [top]
