San Carlos City inaugurates flood control structure
Bacolod City (10 June) -- San Carlos City government recently completed the construction of the more than P1-million stone masonry retaining wall and riprap for flood control at Barangay Punao, this city.
City Mayor Eugenio Jose V. Lacson cut the ceremonial ribbon last June 9, 2009 marking the completion of the structure.
The flood control wall stretches 54 linear meters along Talave river and stands at 9 meters high. It will prevent the frequent soil erosion and overflowing of the river in the area.
