DOE fund energizes NVizcaya village
Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya (10 June) -- Hundreds of families in the remote village of Babadi in this town were recently energized through the assistance of the Department of Energy(DOE) and provincial officials here.
Babadi, a remote barangay here had been one of the remaining unenergized barangays by the Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative(NUVELCO) in the province.
The more than P3 million fund from the DOE was approved through the initiative of Representative Carlos Padilla and governor Luisa Cuaresma which paved the way for the inauguration and formal switch – on of the project Tuesday(June 9).
Barangay Captain Anson Habiatan expressed gratitude for the full energization of their village.
"With our full energization, we can now work even at night time in our houses with ease and satisfaction," he said. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
