Each day is made marked with events such as competitions on band, pop singing, cheer dance and hip-hop, drum and bugle, boxing and variety show.
The festive celebration is unfolding as Carmen Municipal Mayor Marcelino Perandos hopes that the town will turn into a city by year 2020.
"Mas mabuti na ang may pangarap. Libre naman ang mangarap," Perandos said in an interviews.
Perandos was looking at the possibility that there would become a Metro Davao in which Carmen can also be a part of.
"(This) Metro Davao would be composed of cities. There would be cities of Davao , Panabo, Carmen and Tagum. That would be a very good place in this part of Mindanao," he said. (PIA XI) [top]
