P.5-M awarded to informer for arrest of Quirino's topmost wanted person

Tuguegarao City (17 June) -- The Quirino Police Provincial Office (QPPO) in Aglipay, Quirino has reported that a monetary reward in the amount of P 550,000.00 was given to one Roger Paguio Y Ramos, who served as the instrument that led to the arrest of Roberto Buenaventura Y Sabado alias Jun/Vincent, one of the National Top Most Wanted Persons.

In a press release issued by the Police Regional Office here, it said that Buenaventura, a resident of San Leonardo, Aglipay, Quirino, has been the subject a long intelligence operation since the first quarter of 1999 on two (2) counts of statutory rape. Buenaventura went into hiding for almost ten years, the report said.

The report further said that manhunt operations in different places in Region 1 and in Ramon, Isabela which were conducted by intelligence operatives from the different units of the PRO 2 remained futile.

But through the information provided by Roger Paguio, Buenaventura was arrested by elements of 207th Police Mobile Group led by PSupt Danny F. Salvador and under the supervision of PSSupt Romualdo T. Zingapan, Provincial Director of QPPO.

Buenaventura was turned over to the Regional Trial Court Branch 31 under Judge Moises Pardo who issued warrant of arrest for Buenaventura's two (2) counts of statutory rape docketed under criminal case numbers 1523, 1524 and 1525. (PIA Cagayan) [top]
