North Cotabato towns benefit from NEDA KR2

Koronadal City (17 June) -- The National Economic Development Authority has implemented the productivity enhancement project to promote productivity development at national and local levels especially in rural areas.
The proponents of the said projects were the LGUs of Kabacan, M'lang, Tulunan and Pikit of Cotabato province and implemented by Maguindanaon Development Foundation, Inc. (MDFI).
According to LGU Kabacan Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Buenaventura Pacania the said project is a Small-scale Community-based Environmental Rehabilitation and Conservation Project for clustered area within the vicinity of Ligawasan Marsh.
The beneficiaries of that project in the municipality of Kabacan are Lower Paatan and Cuyapon; for M'lang, Gaunan, Dugong, Dungguan and New Antique; Tulunan: Galidan, Dungos and Popoyun and in Pikit town the barangays of: Inug-ug, Talitay, Rajamuda, Bagoenged, Buliok and Barongis.
The total cost of the project is 8,510,054.20 and funded by RP-Japan grant or underprivileged farmer. December 2009 is be the target date for projetcs to be completed. (PIA 12) [top]
