Tagalog News: Green Camp 2009, isinagawa

Batangas City (18 June) -- Nagsagawa ang Boy Scouts at Girl Scouts of the Phils. ng isang joint camporee sa Calumpang Riverbank, Pallocan West, Batangas City kamakailan. Ito ay kaugnay ng pagdiriwang ng World Environment Day-Phils.

Ang mga lumahok na batang scouts ay nagmula sa sampung pampubliko at pribadong paaralan ng Batangas City.

Pinangunahan ni Mayor Eduardo Dimacuha ang pagbubukas ng Green Camp sa pamamagitan ng pagtataas ng green Camp Flag at pagpapalipad ng kalapati na isinagawa naman ni Dr. Enric Sanchez,OIC DepEd Region IV.

Ang mga gawaing ito ay bahagi ng pagpapamalas ng mga kabataan ng kanilang pagiging makakalikasan.

Ilan sa mga gawaing kaugnay ng green Camp ang lecture at film showing na ginanap sa SM City Batangas Event Center,singing contest, sports at mga palaro.

Sa huling araw ng Green Camp ay isinagawa ang tree Planting sa Tingga Labac Dumpsite, kasama ang iba't-ibang tanggapan ng mga locla na pamahalaan. (MPDC/PIA-Batangas) [top]
