Tagalog News: Batangas province at Conservation International lumagda sa kasunduan

Batangas City (18 June) -- Lumagda sa isang kasunduan ang Pamahalaang panlalawigan ng Batangas at Conservation Internationa upang pangalagaan ang Verde island passage.

Ang paglagda ay pinangunahan ni Governor Vilma Santos Recto at CI Phils. Director and Coordinator Romy Trono para sa memorandum of Cooperation sa pagitan ng CI Phils. at Probinsya ng Batangas at Memorandum of Agreement para sa Bantay Dagat Institutionalization.

Sa nasabing kasunduan, magkakaroon ng Marine Protected Areas Network sa buong baybay dagat ng Batangas at gagawing mas matibay at suportado ang grupo ng Bantay Dagat.

Lahat ng coastal LGUs ay bahagi ng Batangas MPA network. Ang mga protected area na ito ay importante sapagkat ito ang nagbibigay ng pangmatagalang ecological viability at pagmimintina sa ecological process sa pamamagitan ng pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga konsernadong LGUs. (MPDC/PIA Batangas) [top]
