Dumaguete prepares for "Presyo Bonanza sa Plaza"

Dumaguete City (18 June) -- The Consumernet Group in the province is set to meet on June 19 to discuss its program of activities for this year and the upcoming Presyo Bonanza sa Plaza-Tabo sa Mamomoo by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here.

The Presyo Bonanza sa Plaza-Tabo sa Mamomoo that will run from June 30 to July 1 and October 2 at to 4, 2009 at Quezon Park, this city is implemented by DTI here under the Comprehensive Livelihood Emergency Employment Program (CLEEP) of the national government.

DTI Provincial Director Javier Fortunate in a letter stressed that said activity aims to provide discounted prices of basic commodities to local employees and the labor sector "as our way of sharing the burdens of high prices this hard times."

Consumernet is a 22-member group formed by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) here and launched in 2000.

The network, composed of representatives from government agencies, since its launching have addressed various consumer concerns and conducted vital information drive relative to its services to the public since it was launched, including facilitating the redress and resolution of consumer complaints at different levels.
