Tagalog News: Resolution sa mga kaso ng human trafficking pinapabilis ng DOJ

Manila (19 June) -- Hinikayat ni Acting Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary at concurrent Solicitor General Agnes Devanadera ang mga prosecutors na pa-igtingin ang pagsisikap nitong mapabilis ang resolution ng mga kasong may kinalaman sa human trafficking na kasalukuyang nakabinbin sa mga korte.

Ito ay bilang tugon sa "2009 Global Trafficking in Persons (GTIP) report" ng United States State Department kung saan ang Pilipinas ay nasa Tier 2 Watch List.

Ayon sa ulat ng US State Department, sa kabuuan ang pamahalaan ng Pilipinas ay hindi nagpakita ng ebidensiya ng pagsulong sa pagpapakulong ng mga offenders lalo na yaong may kinalaman sa labor trafficking.

Hinikayat din ni Devanadera ang mga DOJ prosecutors na makipag-ugnayan sa mga hukom upang makapag-buo ng tamang desisyon para sa mga human trafficking cases na nakabinbin sa kanilang tanggapan.

Nilinaw din ng DOJ na wala itong control at supervision sa mga korte kung saan ilang kaso ng human trafficking ang hindi pa nalulutas. (Lgtomas/PIA 12) [top]
