DENR holds CLEEP workers orientation; issues salary contracts
Negros Occ. (19 June) -- The Provincial Environment and Natural Resource Office (PENRO) recently conducted an orientation for the 39 newly hired employees under the Comprehensive Livelihood Emergency Employment Program (CLEEP).
PENR Officer Jesse Vego said it is important that the employees are knowledgeable of the functions and goals of the office and their specific responsibilities so that they will become more effective in their work.
The newly-hired workers are now ready to be assigned in the different offices in the province to fulfill their obligations for the next six months, he told PIA.
Also, the contract for their salary has already been signed assuring them of the availability of funds for their monthly pay.
CLEEP is the national government’s response to the massive dislocation of workers due to the worldwide economic downturn.
The contract signing was held early this week coinciding with the opening of the CENRO, Bacolod City Environment Week Celebration. (PIA-LOL) [top]
