Camp Diego Silang, San Fernando City, La Union (June 24) -- Police operatives confiscated a sack of dried Marijuana leaves worth P24, 000.00 in a check point they conducted at Sitio Bacsayan, Barangay Poblacion, San Gabriel, La Union last Wednesday.

Senior Inspector Reynaldo Soria, Chief of Police of San Gabriel, La Union, identified the two suspected owners of the illegal drugs as Adiel Rulloda - Gatchalian, 18, a resident of Barangay San Benito, Aringay, La Union; and one Jaime Rosete-Austria, 39, a resident of San Carlos, Caba, La Union.

The suspected owners were come from Barangay Lipay - a depressed and well - known place of wide Marijuana plantations in San Gabriel town.

The suspects are under police custody while a case of violation of RA 9165 for illegal possession of prohibited drugs is filed at the proper courts. (PIA Ilocos Sur) [top]
