Tagalog News: PGMA binisita ang bansang Brazil

Maynila (24 June 1924) -- Binisita ng Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ang bansang Brazil - ang pinakamalaking ekonomiya ng daigdig sa market exchange rate. Ito umano ay naglalayong mapabuti ang 49 ng taong ugnayang diplomasya at pagtutulungan ng dalawang bansa na nagsimula noon pang 1960.

Ang Brasil ay isa sa apat na malalaking ekonomya (kasama ng Rusya, India at Tsina) na inaasahan ng daigdig na makatutulong upang muling makabawi ang ekonomiya ng daigdig.

Tiwala ang Pangulo na magiging kapaki-pakinabang sa mga Pilipinong manggagawa at sa pribadong sektor ang pagpunta niya sa nabanggit na bansa, gayundin sa pagsisikap nitong magkaroon ng sapat na pagkain at enerhiya.

Sasadyain rin ng Pangulo ang sinasabing pinakamalaking puhunang Pilipino sa Brasil-ang Tecon Suape, S.A. (TSSA), ang Brazilian subsidiary ng kompanyang Pilipinas at ang International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI). (Lgtomas/PIA 12) [top]
