DepEd conducts workshop for Project DRIVE
Bacolod City (25 June) -- The Department of Education (DepEd) Negros Occidental Division, through Project STRIVE, conducted a five-day training-workshop on the Annual Implementation Plan Adjustments-Year 2 and CLASS Project proposal in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, recently.
The Paningkamot-Pagsikapan (STRIVE) is a DepEd project supported by the Government of Australia through the AusAID, intended to provide flexible and responsive assistance in strengthening basic education in selected provinces in the Visayas. It also aims to provide basic education opportunities to out-of-school children and youth, including piloting support options for them.
The workshop was attended by more than a hundred pilot elementary and secondary school heads in Negros Occidental.
Participants were trained to incorporate certain adjustments to their school's annual implementation plan, and be a part in the design of a CLASS, or Cluster Lead And Satellite Schools project proposal, where their schools will be actively involved.
Project STRIVE will grant about Aus$ 5,000 to approve CLASS project proposals, that will work on the improvement of the education system implementation in the province. (PIA/cad) [top]
