500 pedicab drivers benefit in medical mission
Bacolod City (26 June) -- At least 500 trisikad drivers and 100 women and children in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, benefited in medical mission, recently.
Eight government and private physicians who are members of the San Carlos Mecial Society attended to the patients.
The free consultation and giving of free medicines started at 8:00 am with the presence of San Carlos City Mayor Eugenio Lacson and other city city officials.
Alexis Tugbo, administrative officer of the San Carlos City Health Office, said they were instructed by Mayor Lacson to help in the medical mission as it is a big help to those who are sick and could not afford to go to the doctor and buy medicines.
The mayor also requested the city nurses and barangay health workers to assist the mission. (PIA/cad) [top]
