200 applicants register in Ifugao Jobs Fair

by Dan B. Codamon

Lagawe, Ifugao (26 June) -- More than 200 applicants registered in the Jobs Fair here last June 17 where more than 100 jobs awaited job seekers.

Five recruitment agencies cleared by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration for local and overseas employment participated in the jobs fair to hire qualified applicants for posting in different countries such as the Middle East, United States of America and Europe.

According to Mr. Joseph Tuguinay of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the low turn out in the registration may be partly due to the simultaneous activities done at the same venue. The jobs fair was part of the Ifugao Foundation Day Anniversary celebration.

As noted during the jobs fair, the venue where it was conducted also hosted the skills fair, provincial abilympics and the licensing activity of the Professional Regulation Commission.

Tuguinay said those who were not able to register can still make contact with the main offices of the participating recruitment agencies if they are interested in applying for jobs locally or abroad.Their addresses and contact persons are available at the DOLE Provincial Office. (PIA Ifugao) [top]
