Sec. Teodoro tells Rotarians to promote rotary values

Davao City (30 June) -- Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. of the national defense exhorted Davao Rotarians to promote the values of the Rotary International especially at this time when there is a need to change the Filipino values in our socio-economic and political system.

Secretary Teodoro said it is now high time for Rotarians to help advocating values such as truthfulness, honesty, cooperation, and harmonious relationships among Filipinos.

The defense chief was in Davao City last Saturday, June 27, as guest speaker during the 42 induction of officers of the Rotary Club of East Davao at Marco Polo hotel.

The officers and directors of the Rotary Club of East Davao for rotary year 2009-2010 are the following:

President, Ronald Go; external vice president, Danilo Bernardo; internal vice president, Prudencio Tan Jr; secretary, Valentino Dionisio; treasurer, Celso Sy; asst. treasurer, Jose Manulid II; auditor, Winston Lim; protocol officer, Rodel Riezel Reyes.

The board of directors are Cesar Pagtalunan for membership, Anthony Banzali for club administration, Reynaldo Fuentes for public relations, Yoichi Amano for Rotary Foundation, Oscar Escudero for service projects on humanitarian, Joseph Froebel Soguiloon for service projects on vocational, Jaime Sabino for service projects on education, and Jesito Villamor on special committee.

Immediate past president is Leo Zantua and president-elect is Antonio Ajero. (pr) [top]
