Negros officials lead lights off for "Negros Enercon Hour"
Negros Occidental (30 June) -- Gov. Isidro P. Zayco led the ceremonial lights off dubbed as the "Negros Energy Conservation (EnerCon) Hour" together with Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, at the Capitol Park and Lagoon, 8 to 9 p.m., Thursday.
The activity, is part of the 17th Provincial Environment Week spearheaded by the Provincial Environment Management Office and was witnessed by Board Members of the different districts in the province, NOPPO Provincial Director Col. Manuel Felix, Association Chief Executives (ACE) President Manuel Escalante, III, Central Negros Electric Cooperative President Edward Gasambelo, Executive Asst. to the Mayor Atty. Vicente Pettiere, and Executive Asst. to the Governor Gerard Tupas, among others.
The EnerCon Hour is aimed toward encouraging the Negrenses to conserve energy in their homes as an effort to save the earth especially during the Provincial Environment Week, themed: "Global Warming…If you care…Do your share."
