Negros Occidental honors 2009 awardees for service excellence
Bacolod City (1 October) -- In an effort to promote a high level of morale and integrity in public service, the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental honored this year's provincial awardees and nominees for service excellence as it marks the 3rd staging of the Provincial Awards for Service Excellence (PASE) in an awarding ceremony at the Capitol Social Hall, recently.
PASE, which seeks to honor employees whose performance, acts and accomplishments exemplify, the best in public service, is supported by the creation of the Committee on Neg. Occ. Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence or PRAISE by virtue of Executive Order No.022, Series of 2006.
Each of the awardees received P10,000 cash, plaque of recognition, a wristwatch and a Nokia Music Edition cell phone.
The nominees underwent series of interviews and assessments from the board of judges.
Acting Gov. Emilio Yulo III commented the awardees for exemplifying excellence in the delivery of basic services and for fully meeting the demands of their constituents. (PIA/cad) [top]
