DSWD accepts donations for 'Ondoy' victims

Davao City (3 October) -- Regional Chief of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Director Ester Acebedo-Versoza announces the opening of DSWD Regional Office as Donations Receiving Center for goods and monetary donations intended for victims of Typhoon Ondoy.

"We have already coordinated with the proper authorities for the free transport of the donated goods to Manila, especially for the food items which is the major clamor of our distressed brothers and sisters in Luzon area," Acebedo-Versoza said.

Acebedo-Versoza however said cash donations maybe directly deposited to the Land Bank of the Philippines in Batasan with Account Number 3122101184 or hand carried to DSWD Regional Cash Unit at R. Magsaysay Ave.

She said all donations shall be properly receipted and acknowledged by DSWD which always serves as donations receiving center year round with or without disasters. (DSWD/degsduron) [top]
