Gov Padaca lauds PDCC for zero casualty during typhoon Pepeng
Ilagan, Isabela (8 October) -- Governor Ma. Gracia Cielo M. Padaca praised the Provincial Disaster Coordinating Council (PDCC) for its prompt action before and after typhoon Pepeng hit and crossed the province last Saturday.
The lady governor expressed her appreciation to the PDCC led by Acting Governor Ramon M. Reyes and Provincial Administrator Paul Fernandez and other disaster officials of the province.
Padaca said the evidence of zero-casualty and early pre-emptive evacuation by PDCC brought no human casualty among Isabela residents but lamented to those whose houses were totally and partially damaged as well as on agricultural products that were destroyed by typhoon Pepeng.
The PDCC has conducted relief operations to affected municipalities most especially to the northern Isabela towns, the four coastal towns and those from low lying areas.
The PDCC is composed of officials from the provincial government, Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Navy (PN), Philippine Air Force (PAF), National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs).
Governor Padaca is confident that the concerted efforts shown by disaster officials will always be practiced every time calamities occur in the province. (PIA Isabela) [top]
