Tagum farmers benefit from city agri program
Tagum City (15 October) -- Mayor Rey T. Uy of Tagum blissfully received the four (4) units Four Wheel Drive Farm Tractor, One (1) Isuzu Forward and Power Sprayer Unit from the Department of Agriculture (DA) RFU-XI at Freedom Park on October 14 during the Turn-Over and Blessing of the Farm Equipment and Machineries funded from the program on Farm to Market Road.
The event was witnessed by OIC Regional Executive Director DA RFU XI Dr. Carlos B. Mendoza, DVM; Chief Crops Division DA XI Norlito Agduyeng; DavNorte Provincial Agriculturist Dominador Incarnation and DA Regional PHF- Farm Mechanization Coordinator Engr. Ricardo Oņate, Jr.; City Chairman Committee on Agriculture Councilor Joedel T. Caasi, Coun. Raymond Joey D. Millan, Coun. Vicente C. Eliot Sr., Coun. Nicandro Suaybaguio Jr., Coun. Reynaldo Salve and Coun. Francisco Remitar.
Emphasizing on the three key issues; Environment Protection & Preservation, Food Security & Sufficiency, and Job Generation & Poverty Alleviation, the continuing partnership between LGU Tagum and DA is a contributory factor to the balanced development of the city in assuring a sustained, dynamic and prosperous living condition for the residents of Tagum.
"Simple equipment that will support the development of an LGU and to empower them on Agriculture"s program and development in cities and municipalities Tagum is the best promoter of Agriculture," mentioned Dr. Mendoza.
