6 gov't agencies participate in Capiz stats exhibit

by A. Lumaque

Roxas City (15 October) -- A statistical exhibit was officially set off today, October 15, by the Capiz provincial government and National Statistics Office (NSO) Capiz Provincial Office as part of the provincial activities for the National Statistics Month (NSM) celebration this October.

"This is intended for public viewing and appreciation," said NSO Capiz Provincial Statistician Engr. Frankie Dordas.

The various Capiz-based participating agencies for the 15-day exhibit include the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Public Works and Highways, and NSO.

"Those who have joined the exhibit will have the opportunity to bag an award during the data presentation and closing program on October 29," Dordas stressed.

The display anchored on the theme "Enhancing Security Sector Statistics for Good Governance, Peace and Sustainable Development."

The opening rites was graced by Provincial Statistics Officer and NSM Secretariat Head Eriberto S. Esclamad and Assistant Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator and Capiz NSM Coordinator Stephen Bediones. (PIA) [top]
