PNP8 sends off Reg'l Mobile Group as augmentation force in Sulu

Tacloban City (October 16) -- Police Chief Superintendent Mario R. Sandiego, regional director of the Police Regional Office 8, disclosed that a send off ceremony was conducted at 6:00 o'clock in the morning of October 16, for the 80 Regional Mobile Group personnel who were deployed as augmentation force in Mindanao.

Director Sandiego informed that the send off ceremony which took place at the RMG 8 detachment at Pinamopoan, Capoocan, Leyte was conducted by the send off party composed of PCSupt Drusillo C. Bolodo, deputy director for administration;

PSSupt. Edgar O. Basbas, regional chief directorial staff; PSupt Antonio Vacal, OIC Regional Operations and Plans Division; PSSupt Reynado G. Hidalgo, Deputy Regional Police Community Relations Division; PCInsp Avelino Doncillo, Deputy Regional Intelligence Division; PInsp Rolando Rosales, Deputy Regional Comptrollership Division and SPO4 Arturo T. Legaspi, RESPO and members of the PRO 8 Band.

The send off program started with a Eucharistic Celebration officiated by PSupt Arnulfo A. Castillo, Regional Chaplain, followed by the accounting of personnel by PSUPT RAUL P SAYSAY, Group Director Regional Mobile Group 8.

PCSUPT BOLODO in behalf of Director Sandiego, reminded the contingent to be ever focused in their mission in Mindanao - to maintain peace and order in the area through committed service and by providing protection to the citizenry in Mindanao.

The send off ceremony ended with the rendition by the PRO 8 Band of the partriotic "Pilipinas Kong Mahal" as the contingent marched out from the RMG Camp.

Time and again, President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo reiterated the Government's commitment for the achievement of peace and development in the country especially in Mindanao. (PIA 8) [top]
