More PSG beneficiaries graduate in Mt Province

Bontoc, Mt. Province (17 October) -- Some 118 beneficiaries of the Pangulong Gloria Scholarship (PGS) have completed the required number of training hours in the qualification they have enrolled in.
According to Xijen Registrar Dionisia Ospig, of the total beneficiaries, 40 finished Hardware Servicing NC II, seven of which are already employed in the government and private offices. The other 78 finished Household Services with nine already employed, three overseas and six locally employed.
Ospig said there are still last batch for this year's PGS program enrolled at Xijen. On-going classes are Hardware servicing NC II with 30 enrollees which ends on October 31; and Household Services with 10 enrollees who will end their training on October 27.
She said aside from the PGS program being implemented, Xijen also offers a two year course on Computer Technician, Computer Programming and Computer Secretariat. It also offers degree programs like four year course on Bachelor of Science in Education major in Filipino; Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Bachelor of Science and Entrepreneurship.
It also offers office application for basic computer which is semestral scheduled every Saturday, Ospig added. (PIA MP) [top]
