Bontoc, Mt. Province (17 October) -- A total of 799 out-of-school youth are preparing for the scheduled Acceleration and Equivalency (A&E) examinations which was earlier scheduled on October 18 but moved to November 15.
According to Susan Aminor, Education Supervisor - Alternative Learning System (ALS) Coordinator, there were more than 900 OSYs who submitted their application for the A&E test but only 799 qualified. The others failed to comply with the requirements.
Aminor said there are six inmates who applied for the exams and are qualified but cannot join the others in the testing venue. One teacher/proctor will conduct the test at the Bilibid for these inmates.
The Acceleration and Equivalency (A&E) examinations is given annually to out-of-school youth to give them a chance to return back to the formal education. (PIA MP) [top]
