1st Youth Leadership Summit launched in Surigao del Sur

Tandag, Surigao del Sur (23 October) -- The first Youth Leadership Summit in Surigao del Sur will launched today October 23 at White Beach in Cagwait this province participated by the Sangguning Kabataan (SK) provincewide.
Lt. Roxanne revealed that the 3-day activity is facilitated by the Philippine Army in coordination with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), NEDA, PDEA, TESDA, PDCC, PPDO, PNRC and supported by the provincial government headed by Governor Vicente Pimentel Jr.
Col. Erwin Rommel Lamzom, 58IB Battalion Commander in a phone patch interview said, the primary objective of the summit is to refresh the youth on what is leadership. Updates on issues concerning Surigao del Sur, security and safety for disaster and others will also be tackled during the summit.
With a theme, "Leadership training for peace and development", the summit aims to develop good leadership among the youth of Surigao del Sur.
Col Lamzon revealed that 70 participants from all over the province are expected to participate in the activity. Participants will comprise of three SK officers from each municipality. Representatives from other youth organizations who are interested to join the summit is also expected to participate. (PIA Surigao del Sur) [top]
