PNPA conducts Cadet Admission Test; 450 Negrenses qualify
Negros Occidental (26 October) -- In 20 testing centers nationwide, the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) conducted Sunday cadet admission test with 450 Negrenses qualify for the testing.
In Bacolod City, PNPA Commandant of Cadets, Police Senior Superintendent Rolen Balquin (PNPA'87) supervised the conduct of the said examination with cadets and cadettes of the police premiere institution serving as proctors.
Balquin said that those who will pass the examination will undergo agility, neuro, medical and dental tests and interview before the final 300 applicants will be admitted to compose the PNPA Class of 2014.
NOPPO spokesman Police Chief Inspector Rico Santotome Jr said that successful examinees will compose the PNPA Class of 2014 and will undergo four years of rigid cadetship training at Camp Mariano Castaneda in Silang, Cavite. Cadets will take the Bachelor of Science in Public Safety course as government scholars and at the same time, will receive P20,000 base pay from the government.
Upon graduation, they will be commissioned as police, fire or jail inspectors (lieutenant in the AFP) upon finishing the BSPS course. (PIA/EAD) [top]
