Tagalog News: 15th ASEAN Summit, magtatayo ng food at energy reserves

Koronadal City (27 October) -- Sa pagtatapos ng 15th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits sa Thailand noong Linggo, napagdesisyunan ng mga ASEAN leaders na kalahok ang pagkakaroon ng food at energy reserves, ang pagtulungan sa panahon ng krisis, at ang pagpapatibay ng pagkakaibigan at pagkakaintindihan ng kanilang mamamayan.

Isa si Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo sa sampung ASEAN leaders na dumalo sa nasabing summit.

Sa kanyang closing statement, sinabi ni Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva na siyang nanguna sa ASEAN Summit, na ang ASEAN kasama ang mga dialogue partners na kinabibilangan ng China, Japan, at South Korea, ay nakapagbuo na ng plan of action hinggil sa climate change, financial crisis, disaster management, global pandemic, at cultural human rights.

Hiniling din ni Abhisit sa mga member states ng ASEAN na makiisa sa pagtatatag ng ASEAN Community sa 2015.

Upang paigtingin pa ang ugnayan sa pagitan ng mga ASEAN members, ipinangako naman ng sampung ASEAN leaders na gumawa ng master plan at maglikom ng sapat na pondo para sa pagtatayo at pagpapaunlad ng mga imprastraktura.

Ang China ay nangakong magbibigay na $10 Billion sa China-ASEAN Fund on Investment Cooperation as $15 Billion commercial credit kasali ang 1.7 billion na preferential loans. (Hannah/PIA 12) [top]
