Surallah town launches Citizens' Charter

Koronadal City (27 October) -- "The Citizen's Charter of Surallah will streamline and promote efficiency of service in frontline services," was the strong pronouncement of Mayor Romulo O. Solivio Sr. during the launching of the Citizen's Charter (CC) at the Municipal Gymnasium.
Mayor Solivio and CC Chairman Rene Garcia officially endorsed a copy of the CC to the legislative body represent by Vice Mayor Antonio O. Bendita for the approval of resolution and adoption. Another copy was also endorsed to DILG Assistant Director Danny Dumandagan who witness the program together with Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) Project CURE Action Officer Deomedina Magdatu and MLGOO Cludio Tapleras.
According to Dumandagan, the DILG was inspired of what LGU Surallah had done. He said that the Citizens Charter of Surallah is second in South Cotabato and the third for the whole region12.
Solivio considered the CC as the right step taken up by the present administration to prevent graft and corruption in every government transactions and hoped to improve the delivery of services to the public.
The program highlighted the wearing of the new ID of the employees and unveiling of public assistance and complaint desk of the Local Government.
The said event was participated by the LGU Surallah employees, members of the Sangguniang Bayan and Barangay Captains. (PIA 12 aca) [top]
