DAR Isabela to serve 2 coastal town ARCs
Cauayan City, Isabela (28 October) -- Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs) in the municipalities of Palanan and Maconacon will be served soon by the Provincial Agrarian Reform Office (PARO) here.
Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Bienvenido Reginaldo said the Agrarian Reform Communities in the two coastal towns will be consulted on what project would be needed to improve their living conditions.
PARO Isabela officials are set to fly to the said towns today to assess ARCs needs. Palanan and Maconacon are Isabela's eastern coastal towns including that of Dinapigue and Divilacan.
Reginaldo said most of the agrarian projects being implemented by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in ARC areas are construction of Farm-to-Market roads and bridges.
There are 6 ARCs in the town of Palanan and 4 in Maconacon.
The PARO chief said that these projects are essential in transporting farm products of farmers to the market and thus, will increase economic activity in the area.
DAR Isabela is also eyeing the other two coastal towns' Agrarian Reform Communities to be the next beneficiaries of DAR projects in the coming years. (PIA Isabela) [top]
