15 more school buildings under construction by DPWH-12
Koronadal City (29 October) -- To address the growing population of school children, construction of more school buildings was one of the top priority projects of the Arroyo Administration, part of the ten point agenda of the president during her State of the Nation Address (SONA).
Several school buildings were being erected and more are still being constructed to ensure children to have a conducive place for learning especially in the remote barangays.
During the first and second quarter of 2009 the following school buildings were being completed: Cadis Elementary School, Carmen; Marabuhay Elementary School Alamada; Bagolibas Elementary School, Banisilan; Vicente Rapacon Elementary School, Midsayap; Kabacan Pilot Central Elementary School, Kabacan; Kiaring Elementary School, Banisilan; Sambulawan Elementary School, Midsayap; Inug-ug Elementary School, Pikit; Tomado Elementary School, Aleosan; Eliseo Elementary School, Midsayap; Kitub – Bao National High School, Alamada; Lampaki PS, Pigcawayan.
Repair of 4 classrooms at Prado Elementary School in the Municipality of Pigcawayan and 1 classroom at Cawilihan Elementary School in the Municipality of Aleosan were realized.
Construction of 3 classrooms at Carmen National High School, Tonganon Annex is on going and is due to complete on July, a Public Works and Highways official disclosed. (DPWH12/PIA 12) [top]
