Tagalog News: Grupo ng international experts dumating sa Pilipinas

Koronadal City (29 October) -- Dumating na sa Pilipinas ang grupo ng international experts na tutulong sa pagreponde sa large-scale outbreak ng sakit na leptospirosis dahil sa sunod-sunod na pag-ulan at pagbaha sa bansa na umabot sa tatlong linggo.

Inihayag ng World Health Organization (WHO) office sa Manila na ang apat-kataong team ng mga eksperto sa leptospirosis control, epidemiology at clinic management ng sakit na karaniwang dala ng kontaminadong tubig na mayroong ihi ng daga at iba pang mga hayop.

Ayon pa sa WHO, ang mga specialists ay mula sa bansang Australia, France, Netherlands at Singapore.

Ang nasabing grupo ay pinulong ng mga opisyal ng Philippine Department of Health at WHO counterpart bago simulan ang initial assessment phase ng misyon. Inaasahan ding tatagal ang grupo hanggang tatlong linggo sa Pilipinas bago maipasa ng mga ito ang report sa Philippine Government. (KAlbay/PIA 12) [top]
