AboitizPower, SM partner for environmental drawing contest

Davao City (31 October) -- SM City Davao and AboitizPower through Hedcor, Inc. roll out Kids Environmental Drawing Contest for grade school children in Hedcor's host communities: Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur, Davao City and Benguet Province.

"The contest will provide the children an opportunity to think about the environment through their creativity," said Hedcor president Rene Ronquillo. "With the theme I hold the the future: Saving Mother Earth, we believe that the endeavor will increase young people's awareness of preserving our planet," he added.

The Davao leg will be held at the Event Centre of SM City Davao on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 1 o'clock in the afternoon while the Baguio leg concluded last October 21.

Participating students will be entitled to tee-shirts, drawing kits and snacks.

Entries will be judged based on: originality of artwork at 40 percent; relevance to theme at 40 percent; and composition and overall design at 20 percent.
