DAR Ifugao funds projects in Mayoyao, Lagawe

Lagawe, Ifugao (31 October) -- With the hope of alleviating the economic status of the farmers here and in Mayoyao, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) released a total of P782,150.00 for livelihood projects.
Dubbed as Agricultural Productivity Enhancement Project, Yolanda Pago, Supervising Agrarian Reform Program Officer Pago said that the project was given to Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Project (ARISP) Phase 1 areas.
Pago said that the funds for itik and tilapia production project were channeled to the Ifugao State University (IFSU), formerly Ifugao State College of Agriculture and Forestry (ISCAF). IFSU implemented the project by virtue of a Memorandum of Agreement with DAR. IFSU also conducted all technology transfer trainings including rice rationing practices.
Moreover, DAR facilitated the marketing assistance which were provided to individual Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) like Bumangabang's woodcraft at Bolog, Kiangan for his woodcarvings, Press MB Enterprise at Poblacion West here for his cogon products and other ARBs. (PIA-Ifugao) [top]
