Army applicants to undergo tests

Davao City (13 January) -- A Philippine Army Team will hold examinations for Army applicants on January 18 at the University of Mindanao in Matina, Davao City.

Those applying to be officers should be: natural-born citizens of the Philippines; baccalaureate degree holders; of good moral character and habits; single and never married; physically, mentally and psychologically fit for active military service; between 21 and 29 years old for the Officer Candidate Course and not more than 31 years old for Officer Preparatory Course; and at least 1.63 meters or 64 inches if male or 1.57 meters or 62 inches if female.

Candidate soldiers should be: natural-born citizens of the Philippines; college-level with 72 units in college or a high school graduate with skills direly needed by the Army; of good moral character and habits; must be physically, mentally and psychologically fit for active military service; at least 18 years old and not more than 26 of age upon enlistment; and at least 1.63 meters (64 inches) if male or 1.57 meters (62 inches) if female.
