Davao City (31 May) -- Newly-installed Davao City Police director Senior Superintendent Catalino Cuy is urging the Davao City Police Office to stand as one strong organization in fighting criminality.
He said he will implement various measures to boost the drive against criminalities in the city.
He told his men to give more emphasis on the need to observe discipline, proper training and making themselves friendly to the community.
He also told his men that "undisciplined policemen" will be punished in line with his commitment to enforce disciplinary power while also recognizing those who are honest, sincere and committed in the performance of their duties.
"The use of various information technology gadgets and facilities will be undertaken and that the command will work closely with Patrol 117 to support the Security Development Program of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)," Cuy stressed.
He likewise said that he will work closely with Mayor Duterte in his drive against criminality, maintenance of peace and order and in his efforts to eradicate prohibited drugs.
Part of his strategy against criminality is to strengthen the drug prevention and control program and coordinate closely with local government units and people's anti-crime groups "for easy reporting and fast solution of crimes." (PUIA-RPalacio) [top]
